$100 Million Claimed by Santee Woman

A Santee woman is celebrating after winning $100 million in the California Sate Quick Pick Lottery Thursday night. Charlotte Keys, 34, claimed her prize on Friday morning in La Jolla.

“I was so excited, I could not believe it,” Keys said. “It was pure excitement like when I got my first dog. Complete shock.”

Though her winnings were quite large, her investment for this money is quite small. “It’s been my dream to open up a Laundromat,” she said. “But not one of those skanky ones, it’ll have magazines and a coffee shop.” Keys currently works at a local 7 - Eleven as a “Slurpee Specialist” and has been doing this for about 10 years. She doesn’t want to quit this job, but her decision rests on the success of her Laundromat. If unsuccessful, “I guess I’ll have to sell it,” stated Keys.

While Keys will own the Laundromat, she will also roam the floors and meet new customers. She hopes to live above her Laundromat. “It would be grand,” she said with stars in her eyes. Keys wants to build her Laundromat in California, maybe in Beverly Hills.

“How will this change my life? I’ll be able to pay bills and no more creditors will be at my door,” said Keys. She desires to go to Disneyland now that she can afford it. When asked if she’d donate some of her winnings, “Hell no,” was the answer. Family members from the South have been leeching off of her for years. If anyone were to crawl out of his or her burrow in need of cash, she has no problem disappointing him or her, but she will certainly invest some for the future.

Keys chose quick pick numbers 5, 45, 16, 11, 16, and 9. Evidently, she won.
