Women Wins $100 Million

A Santee woman is celebrating after winning  $100 million in the California state Quick Pick lottery Thursday night.  Charlotte Keys, 34, claimed her prize on Friday morning in La Jolla. “I was so excited, I could not believe it,” said Key, “It was pure excitement, like when I got my first dog. Pure shock.”

Although the prize is big, her plans are relatively small. She hopes to make her life long dream come true and open a fancy Laundromat in Beverly Hills with an apartment above for her and her husband to live in. Charlotte Key has worked 10 years at the 7-Eleven from which she bought five one dollar tickets, one of them resulting to be the winning one.

Key was born and raised in North Carolina. Her now husband of ten years, Andrew Keys, was seeking a job there when they met at a rodeo parking lot. The Keys do not have any kids or plans of having any.

She came to California with hopes of becoming a star and meeting famous celebrities. Key was unaware that Michael Jackson had passed away and was truly shocked when informed.Key would like to learn how to surf and visit Disneyland for the first time.  She likes the Jonas Brothers and is a big fan of Paris Hilton, claiming, “She is a great woman and that if she were to meet her, she would pass out.”

The lucky number was 5,45,16,11,16  from the Quick Pick series 9.
