Britney Spears's Obituary

Britney Spears died Sunday night when the hair dryer she was using fell into a sink full of water. She was 27. This incident occurred in Circus Circus Hotel in Las Vegas.

Spears’s death comes after years of controversial behavior. She was married twice, accused of seeking media attention, pulled over for driving with her baby in her lap, and shaved her head.

Spears first rose to fame in the late 1980s when she appeared on TVs “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” along with stars Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera. Soon, Timberlake became the longtime boyfriend of Spears, which led her to announce that she will save her virginity for him until the two could get married.

When “The All New Mickey Mouse Club” ended, Spears returned to Louisiana. Soon, she was itching to get back into show business. In 1998, she dropped her first album, “…Baby One More Time”, which was an instant success.

“…Baby One More Time” was followed by the album “Oops! …I Did It Again” in 2000. Spears then made her first feature film, “Crossroads,” in 2002. That same year, her career success was highlighted by Forbes magazine when she was ranked the world's most powerful celebrity.

In 2003, at the MTV Music Awards, Spears found herself in trouble once again after kissing Madonna during their performance of “Like a Virgin.” The next year, Spears announced her engagement to Kevin Federline, one of her backup dancers, only three months after they met. Many people doubted her marriage, due to her past marriage to childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander, to whom she had been married to for 55 hours. A few months later, Spears and Federline got married. The two have two children together, Sean Preston Federline (3) and Jayden James Federline (2).

Two years after her marriage, Spears filed for divorce. Long time friend Madonna reportedly told Britney to forget about marriage. She said it just doesn’t work out for girls like them. Then the two-year custody battles between Spears and Federline began. Spears officially lost physical custody of her children to Federline on October 1, 2008 with the court ruling that Federline will retain sole custody of the children, allowing Spears visitation rights.

Spears holds the title to multiple Guinness World Records. Awards include the fastest-selling female artist of all-time, the biggest-selling musician of this decade, and most searched person on the internet.

Spears was born on December 2, 1981. She is survived by her parents, Jamie Parnell and Lynne Irene Spears, her sister Jamie Lynn, her brother Bryan, and her children Sean Preston (3) and Jayden (2).

Plans for a public memorial have not been determined.
