“Finally I can answer my phone”

A  Santee woman is celebrating after winning $100 million in the California State  Quick Pick Lottery Thursday night. Charlotte Keys, 34, claimed her prize on Friday morning in La Jolla.

“I was so excited, I couldn’t believe it. It was pure excitement like when I got my first little dog”, she said. 

Keys plans to use her winnings to open a Laundromat in Beverly Hills, California, as well as coffee shops, magazines and a new flat right above the laundry, together with her husband, Andrew, from San Diego. However, this is her little secret, she hasn’t’ told him yet the great news, as he must find a job first, after having lost his previous one. At the end,” I won it”, added Keys, born in Goldshurough, North Carolina. They met each other for the first time at Rodeo Bars, at a bucking bull, and she thought immediately that he was very hot.

Finally her dream has come true with that special $5 ticket bought at 7-Eleven that has opened her to doors until now only dreamed and imagined in her fantasy world. She works there as a slurpee specialist, job that makes her very proud of herself.

The first item she decided to buy to celebrate this special event has been a white t-shirt with her favorite job written on it: “shopaholic”. From now on, she feels “28 again” and finally she can start to breath again after many years of suffocating. She can start to pay her bills, creditors have stopped calling her and last but not least, she can finally answer her phone, previously prohibited due to all her debts’ problems.

Her idol is neither a philosopher nor a politic man. Instead, let’s just say her name, the smart and well known, Paris Hilton, with her unforgettable Chihuahua.

As to her music tastes, she loves Michael Jackson, “He’s so brilliant, he’s an artist”, she said, almost crying, when she discovered that he’s died only few weeks ago. Unfortunately, she won’t have any more chances to meet him but, probably, she might be luckier with Jonas Brothers.

The combination of the ticket that has opened the padlock to achieve her dream was 5, 45, 16, 11, 16. Power ball: 9.
